Theresa grew up in Marysville, Ohio and lived in Columbus and Worthington before moving back to Marysville to raise her family in 1997. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated from the Columbus Paraprofessional Institute with a degree in travel and tourism. She worked as a travel agent for ten years and an event planner for a local company for several years, before embarking on her real estate career.

Theresa has been married to her husband, Scott, a software consultant at Nationwide Insurance, since 1991. They have two adult children: Juliana and Jack, both graduates of Marysville High School.

Theresa has been a licensed real estate agent since 2006 and she is currently a part of Key Realty. She earned her ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation in 2018 and her SRES
designation or Senior Real Estate Specialist designation in 2016. She is now part of a network of more than 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES® designation. Each SRES is required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older. As of January 2016, less than 1% of real estate agents in Ohio have been certified with this designation.

Theresa gives back to her community by serving as both a board member and volunteer with Union County Neighbor to Neighbor, a grassroots membership organization, part of the “virtual village” national movement to connect those with time, experience and skills to share with those in need of support for the benefit of the community as a whole. The organization works to connect seniors with pre-screened service providers to allow them to continue to live independently.
